ON HOLD – What does this mean?

What does this mean?

On Hold is when a hamper request has not met the requirement of the 10 days rule. Students will receive an email that their hamper request has been switched to “On Hold” and will explain the following:

What is the 10 days rule?

This states that client must not request another hamper for 10 days after they have picked up. This is to satisfy the 2 hampers a month rule (or a hamper every 12-14 days). If a student has not hit this rule and the student has not hit 12 days at least since their last pickup, volunteers will place this request “On Hold” until the allotted time has pasted. This is something students must click to agree to before requesting a hamper.

What if a student has more than one hamper request ON HOLD?

If a student has more than 1 hamper request on hold, the smallest hamper of the two will be cancelled. This is so other students can have a higher chance at receiving more items, and to adhere to the 2 hampers a month rule. Students will receive an email saying one of the hampers is cancelled.
