What is this rule and why does the pantry have it?
In The Pantry, we have the 2 hampers a month, or 2-week rule. These terms are used interchangeably but are the same rule. This means that a student actively using The Pantry is able to receive 2 hamper per month (or 1 every 2 weeks).
This is set in place to help give other students the opportunity to get as many items as they can and leaving room for other students to be supported by The Pantry too. By having a rule like this, we are able to support the 1000+ students alongside you the best we can.
How does the pantry track this?
This is tracked by when a student picks up their hamper. When a student picks up their hamper, this actively shows us that 1 out of 2 hampers a student can received has been fulfilled, not cancelled. When a student picks up their first hamper of that month, they have to wait at least 10 days before placing a request for another hamper. If a client does this, then their order will either be put ON HOLD, or cancelled depending on the scenario.
After students have placed their second hamper in the allotted time, volunteers will make their hamper and students will be able to receive their hamper.
